Army visits Twizel 2nd November 2011

Two NZ Army LAV's visited Twizel as part of an army exercise in the area. They parked in the car park. Lots of classes went to visit them.
A LAV is a Light Armoured Vehicle.
Fred got to go into the drivers seat.

It is high on top of the tank, but
the soldiers looked after us.
The seats look very hard in the back!
We are talking about camouflage with
Ms McNeill. She showed us the
camouflage nets on top of the tank.

Bailey got to wear  an Army helmet.

Paint kit.
Two soldiers showed us their camouflage
paint and hid behind some trees for us.
Their uniforms are camouflaged.
Thank you.
