Older children pretended to be Black Stilts.
We didn't do this activity called Centipede Shoes. Children who did it had to work cooperatively to be able to walk three at a time.
Mike works for DOC. He helped us do the activities and talked about ways we can help look after our environment.
This is Finn's Mum. She helped us with the memory game.
Ursula helped children measure worms. She also helped children chip plastic insects out of ice cubes without damaging the insect.
This game was called Animal Rescue. The animals were sick and we had to carry them (rescue them) on a stretcher. We saved them!
We had a minute to look at these objects. Then we had to name as many as we could. It was fun. Finn's mum helped us.
We are holding our Rugby World Cup books. Can you see the banners hanging in the school foyer? Some useful websites for the Rugby World Cup are www.rugbyworldcup.com/kidzone www.ruggerland.co.nz www.irb.com www.nz2011.govt.nz www.sparc.org.nz www.knzb.org.nz www.nzrugby.co.nz (The trees in the photo are a reflection on the doors)
Rugby World Cup Fever 2011 has hit Twizel. Flags are flying around the town. Our eagle eyed children spotted this car in the car park. They also noticed a flag flying on the RSA flagpole.

Hmmm. Yummy hot chocolate.
Fred, Emily and Zach made things out of boxes. Fred likes his castle, Emily likes her computer and Zach had fun joining boxes together.
