We have been learning about Matariki
with Mrs Powell.
Matariki is the Maori New Year.
In June the star formation known as Matariki
(the Pleiades) officially appears in the sky.
There are seven stars that can be seen in the early dawn.
We decorated wine biscuits. We made dark chocolate icing and then put seven little silver balls (cachous)
on top for the stars.
We are going to eat them at our party on Thursday.
